A14.1.02.201 Substantia alba Within the white matter of the spinal cord, tractus corticospinales, raphespinalis, spinocerebellares, and vestibulospinales are referred to as "anterior," "lateral," "medial,' or "posterior' according to their relative positions in the spinal-cord white matter.
A14.1.02.214 Tractus spinothalamicus anterior and tractus spinothalamicus lateralis These terms are retained in this edition. However, it is acknowledged that the combined area of the spinal-cord white matter occupied by these two tracts, as classically described, represent what is now known as the anterolateral system (see A14.1.04.137).
A14.1.02.225 Tractus spinothalamicus anterior and tractus spinothalamicus lateralis These terms are retained in this edition. However, it is acknowledged that the combined area of the spinal-cord white matter occupied by these two tracts, as classically described, represent what is now known as the anterolateral system (see A14.1.04.137).
A14.1.02.243 Fasciculus gracilis, Fasciculus cuneatus, nucleus gracilis and nucleus cuneatus are commonly, and collectively, referred to as the dorsal column nuclei and fasciculi.
A14.1.02.244 Fasciculus gracilis, Fasciculus cuneatus, nucleus gracilis and nucleus cuneatus are commonly, and collectively, referred to as the dorsal column nuclei and fasciculi.
A14.1.02.247 Fibrae spinocuneatae and fibrae spinograciles These terms designate those fibres that arise from cells in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and ascend in the cuneate and gracile fasciculi to terminate in their respective nuclei in the medulla. These are cornmonly, and collectively. referred to as postsynaptic dorsal column fibres.
A14.1.02.248 Fibrae spinocuneatae and fibrae spinograciles These terms designate those fibres that arise from cells in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and ascend in the cuneate and gracile fasciculi to terminate in their respective nuclei in the medulla. These are cornmonly, and collectively. referred to as postsynaptic dorsal column fibres.
